All questions
What is a private provider?

Florida law (Section 553.791, Florida Statutes) allows a property owner or contractor to use a qualified private provider for plan review and inspection services. The local building department keeps its role: it accepts the required submissions, issues the permit and the certificate of occupancy or completion, and can audit the work. Tell us the project location and stage so we can confirm what applies.

What information is needed to request an inspection?

Provide the project address, permit number, requested inspection, site contact, and preferred date. The team may ask for approved plans, photographs, or other records.

Do Private Provider services guarantee a faster permit?

No permit timeline is guaranteed. Project completeness, review requirements, corrections, and the authority’s process all affect the schedule.

Does a prepared closeout certificate mean the permit is closed?

No. The authority’s acceptance and the final permit status have to be confirmed separately.

Can you promise a delivery date before reviewing the project?

No. The schedule has to account for the scope, the required inputs, and availability. A project-specific target is set once those are understood.

Are enclosure engineering and inspections one package?

They are separate services unless your proposal includes both. Ask for the scope to identify each component.
